Are you Unapologetically you? Unashamed, Unrelenting, Full of Confidence, Unique, and proud of it? It takes a lot of courage to accept your true self. We live in a world with a habit of telling you who you should be and how you should act. There is no room to explore the possibilities of who you might become. No, it's the society that convinces you to conform to one group or another. We begin to believe more in something that makes us famous instead of something that makes us strong. In High school, I hated cliques! You must conform to one group, one look, one ideal, and heaven help you if you venture outside those rules.
I have never seen a world that convinces you that you were born wrong and, in the same breath, tells you to be proud of who you are. Perplexing, to say the least. I often wonder why we listen so hard to people that are strangers to us. Musical artists, motivational speakers, Self-help authors, I mean the list goes on and on. So instead, let's turn off the voices, turn off the noise, and listen for the small, still voice. He will show you exactly who you are. Just in case you are wondering, I am referring to God. (1 Kings 19:11-13)
From the beginning, our destiny was already set. We were already called or chosen for specific work on this earth. Look around; many are in need. We were born into a plan that God set, a plan, as the scriptures say, that will not harm us but prosper and make us for the earth's trials and tribulations. (Jeremiah 29:11-13) Therefore, we need Him to understand who we are. My favorite encounter I read about between God and his servants is the famous encounter with Moses as a burning bush. Moses asks who I shall say sent me, and God Answer, I AM THAT I AM. TWO WORDS, but they are VAST in their Interpretation. GOD IS EVERYTHING. He created everything under the heavens and the earth, even evil for its time; you can see Him in the ocean, sand, trees, and flowers. He can be anything and everything at the same time. He is omnipresent and omnipotent. He is Everything.
Whenever I read this scripture, I always read it as I AM That I AM. If I need a healer, He said I AM THAT. If I need a provider, He says I AM THAT. If I need a protector, He said I AM THAT. Now through Him, we have access to all these things and more; through Him, we become all those things this world may say we are not. So, when you wear this shirt or hoodie, say, Beautiful, I AM THAT Confident, I AM THAT Smart, I AM THAT. Loved, I AM THAT. Valuable I AM THAT. Strong, I AM THAT……. ME, I AM THAT!
